DWF Images

The illustrations on this webiste were drawn in AutoCad. To make those drawings available for Web browsers it is necessary to take jpg and gif snapshots of portions of them. Much of the richness of the originals is lost in this process.

A better way to view the drawings is as a dwf file. Dwf stands for Drawing Web Format. These files can be viewed by downloading a small free viewer from Autodesk called Express Viewer -- the link is below. With this software the images can be panned and zoomed, layers can be turned on and off, and named views can be instantly accessed.

DWF images are not HTML files and therefore do not have the normal navigation links. When done viewing a dwf file use the "back" button to return to the html page.

How do I use Autodesk Express Viewer to view a DWF file?

If you have Autodesk Express Viewer installed, it displays any DWF file either within the web browser or the application. Autodesk Express Viewer has all the common behavior of any Windows based application, enabling users to load, view, and navigate through DWF files with ease.
